It's time for a mass update.  I have been saving up a lot of stuff in preparation for getting a film scanner, which at this point is not happening in the foreseeable future.  So I am reduced to scanning prints I already made.  Better than nothing, I suppose.

It's done. Thirty-some deviations, three years of work, gone.  It took me a week of trying... delete a few, go away for a while, and then come back with a fresh eye.  I needed a fresh start. I realized that in the past I have submitted a lot of photographs just to submit something.  Shots that I was not particularly proud of, shots that were not really finished artwork.  Most of them came from my little point and shoot digital camera because I had nothing else available at the time.  And they were nothing more than snapshots.  Creative, maybe.  More interesting than the standard "Look at the camera and smile!" shot?  Probably.  But they wer

I don't like most of my artwork. I started going through my gallery today, and most of it is boring and pointless.  It was taken with a low-quality camera, it shows very little artistic merit, and I am not proud of sharing it.  I am going on a cleaning spree soon here... and hopefully replacing the old stuff with things I would actually like to share.
